LA: Life, Abundant
Hello dearest ones!
These last couple of months I have been working a LOT! Making that money, honey! For real, it's been a summer of WORK. *cues Rihanna*
But don't you worry, I've made some time for fun.
Two weeks ago one of my precious friends, Court, moved to Los Angeles, and I drove out with her. That's right...we DROVE. Being the travel professional that I am, I have had my fair share of travel experiences. I've seen a lot of world and been a lot of places, but never by car. It was twenty-two hours of southwestern scenery, coupled with old mixed cds (holla at ya girlz Hilary Duff), laughter, tears, and the goodness of God.
Now y'all know I am a Texas girl and I am SO proud to call this God-graced state home. HOWEVER, I was so sick of Texas halfway through the drive. It is the largest bordering* US state after all. *Don't @ me geography teachers...I know Alaska is the largest US state, but it doesn't border any others. But, it felt like we were NEVER going to get out of Texas.
Eventually we made it to LA, where the weather is perfect and the traffic is not, and here's where things got really cool! Court was invited to be a guest at Zoe Conference, and I was able to attend with her. Some of my favorite speakers were there - Pastor John Gray, Rich Wilkerson Jr., Chad and Julia Veach, Jentezen Franklin, and so many more. Zoe Conference was AMAZING!! I wish I could explain EVERYTHING that God revealed and confirmed, but the one nugget that's stuck with me since the conference was Rich Wilkerson Jr.'s message on "Incubation through Isolation." It was an incredible message that reminded me in my season of isolation, God is extending an invitation to me that will prepare me for elevation, and if I will stay planted just a little bit longer, God will develop an incredible anointing in me.
Like I said, it was SO good, and SO cool how we ended up there! Another added bonus? We ran into some of our LYA fam at the conference - Cristal and Mallory - and we were able to hang and make memories with them during the breaks. Special shoutout to Zoe Church for their unbelievable hospitality. I have never felt more welcomed and instantly connected with people from the jump! It was beautiful.
Los Angeles was amazing, as always. I came back feeling excited, refreshed and encouraged about God's faithfulness and promise to have an abundant life.
