Last weekend I spent a fabulous weekend in Los Angeles for my good friend Dina's bachelorette party. #TropiCallHerMrsTaylor
I've spent time in LA, but this time around was epic.
For starters, the house that we rented on Airbnb was I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E. I mean, this house y'all. It was hidden right off of the legendary Mulholland Drive with gorgeous views of the Hollywood Hills. It had super cute rooms, outdoor beds, couches, a stunning freshwater pool with the cutest giant floaties...everything a girl could want!
We definitely did all the touristy things - hiking to Griffith Observatory, driving up and down Hollywood Blvd, taking pics at the LACMA lamps, etc. But, my two FAVORITE things that we did included brunch at The Commissary AND our private boat party in Marina del Rey.
The Commissary is an adorable, trendy restaurant located on the 2nd floor rooftop of The Line Hotel. Get this, it's inside of a Greenhouse - so chic, and veryyyy LA. And, the food is just as good! Everything is fresh and the presentation is SOOO stinking cute. Plus, bottomless mimosas. BOTTOM-LESS. Plus, it was the best service I've ever received at any restaurant, ever. We never had to ask for refills for anything.
After brunch, it was on to the boat party. The boat party....some of the greatest laughs I've ever had. We totally surprised Dina who had noooo idea what was going on as we showed up to the marina. Her reaction was the best! But, perhaps the coolest part was jumping into the water once we were further out, and swimming in the freaking Pacific Ocean. Wuuuuut?! I wasn't even planning on jumping in originally (natural hair probz) but after a pinky promise, I jumped in off the top of the boat.
Here's where it gets funny...
We're all laughing, splashing and swimming in the water and after a bit we decide to get back in the boat. Except, we couldn't. Well, more specifically, I couldn't. *Note* Let me be clear....I have a lot of junk in this trunk and the height of the ledge required quite the upper body strength to get back into the boat. So, instead of trying to push ourselves up, they had this rope that they threw down to us. Somehow I managed to try and go back first and slide myself onto the ledge.
THAT. DID. NOT. WORK. (see previous note)
I ended up having a wardrobe malfunction while I laid there like a dead fish. I didn't find out about it until later, which was even better and that poor crew didn't know what to do with themselves. #EpicFail
And, I lost my earring in the water. Kim K style. HAHAHA!
It was such a blast celebrating Dina and exploring the City of Angels. Definitely a trip for the books and a fun way to bachelorette!
