Top 5 | September Picks
You know what time it is.
Top 5 September picks. Just because I wasn't blogging during the month of August, does not mean I skimped on my beauty routine. If there's anything to know about me, it's that I will ALWAYS make time for beauty. Annnnnd, I'm super pumped to share with y'all some great finds, as well as some classic favorites.
I have discovered a new, everyday, go-to product and it is THIS. This mineral setting powder is awesome for two reasons. One, it color corrects redness. Can I get a Hallelujah?! My face can be incredibly prone to redness and this stuff helps to tone it down. Two, it is extremely lightweight and translucent. Not only can I use it to bake my contour, but sometimes I'll use it by itself as my highlighter base. Note: This gem came in last month's Ipsy bag, that only cost me $10. #Steal
Talk about an oldie but goodie, amirite? These cleansing wipes have been in the game for years. BUT, I have tried numerous brands and these always remain my favorite. They're gentle, effective, and have a fresh and clean scent. I use them to wipe off every ounce of makeup on my face. Eyes, brows, lips...literally everything. And they get the job done. I can use one wipe back and front to remove all of my makeup. Plus, they're hella affordable. You can buy them online and find a coupon, or you can find them at any local drug store/chain-retailer. There's a reason these babies have been killing it for ages. G.O.A.T., dare I say?
This is hands down my favorite highlighter. I've been rocking with Champagne Pop since its release and I have yet to be disappointed. One little swipe of this and I feel transformed. I love it because I can make it as subtle or dramatic as I want. Some highlighters, it looks like nothing is there. And then some other highlighters, it looks like you painted your face. With Jaclyn Hill's Champagne Pop, you can honestly do either. It's great for lowkey makeup days at the office or for glamorous nights on the town. You do you boo.
I decided to switch it up with my eye liner. For the longest time, I've been using Make Up Forever's Aqua Eyeliner, and while it was definitely waterproof, after a while it would get smudgy. As a contact wearer, I blink often and somehow or another that creates some smudge. So, looking for a little more precision, I switched to this one and when I say this is waterproof, it is WATERPROOF. I have wept in this. Actually wept in this, and it did not smudge or move one bit. Combine that with some waterproof mascara and people think I'm superhuman. If you're going to cry, you might as well look flawless doing it. I recommend purchasing the eye pencil sharpener from MAC as well, it's awesome. I'm so excited to try out additional colors this fall - Strong Willed (eggplant), Devotion (deep green)!
Every woman needs a rollerball in her makeup bag. Not only is it a great way to try out a new scent, but it also comes in handy when you're on the go and you want to feel freshened up. Nothing like a good scent to make you seem clean, fresh, and put together. This scent is a great blend between florals and musk, femininity and masculinity, beauty and strength. Plus, it reminds me of my grandma. She bought this scent a few years ago and everytime she wore it, I made sure to hug her a little longer because she smelled so good; plus she's a perfect blend of beauty and strength.
I hope you like this month's picks! Share with me some of your favorite beauty products, fragrances, and tips in the comments.
