Top November Picks

This time of year it usually starts to get chilly. Not this time. According to the weather report, it's not chilling out any time soon. I'm not entirely complaining...these 70 and 80 degree temperatures have been pretty sweet. But with Christmas right around the corner, I want the weather to be a little festive too! You feel me? That being said, I'm going to give you some of my favorite beauty products that I like to bust out when the weather cools down.

1. Mary Kay Cosmetics, Satin Lips® Lip Mask - $10.00

What's the worst thing about cold weather? That's right, CHAPPED LIPS. I don't know about y'all, but I can't stand dry, cracked lips. Satin Lips® is one of the best products on the market. The lip mask is a soft exfoliant that removes any dead skin or dryness from your lips. It smells fresh and clean, and it doesn't leave your lips feeling raw and exposed. You can pair it up with the Lip Balm, which together as a set will cost you $18.00, or you can stick to regular vaseline or Burt's Bees to moisturize. Either way, it's a great investment and will serve you well during the cold, dry months.

2. L'Occitane, Lavender Hand Cream - $12.00, travel size

Speaking of dry lips, does anyone else get dry hands during the winter time? Is it just me? No lie, I feel like I'm guzzling lotion in the wintertime without any results (and don't tell me to drink more water, Mom). But, one of my favorite moisturizing products is the L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream. Firstly, who doesn't love the soothing smell of lavender? I will admit some beauty products go overboard in their attempts of achieving a lavender scent, but this is light and delicate with a hint of fresh lavender. Secondly, This cream is enriched with shea butter, so it provides quality moisture without being too heavy, or too greasy. And thirdly, the travel size is only $12, and it makes a GREAT stocking stuffer, i.e. for my stocking...hint, hint. ;)

3. Kylie Cosmetics℠, Matte Lip Kit |Mary Jo K - $29.00

Now, everyone needs a red lipstick for the holidays. Between the tacky sweaters and festive photos, nothing says Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays like a poppin red lip. Now before you roll your eyes, let me tell you why this is my favorite red lipstick. It's the most gorgeous shade of red, and this is coming from someone who owns over 10 tubes of red lipstick in various shades. (it's all about the undertones, y'all). It's deep and vibrant at the same time. And it truly is a matte shade. It pairs well with a smoky eye, or gives you the classic pin-up girl vibe, depending upon your mood. The lip kit comes with a lip liner in the same shade, which I've found works well. Or, you can purchase the lipstick by itself for $17. You only need one coat of lipstick per application - it's not overly heavy, and it smells like vanilla! Best part is that you can eat, drink, and be merry without needing to reapply. Okay, now you can roll your eyes. Santa's watching though.

4. Bath and Body Works, Shea-Infused Lounge Socks - $8.50

Okay, so this isn't quite a makeup product, but feet can (and should) be beautiful. These are my winter-time favorites! Every year, my mom puts a pair of these in my Christmas stocking, and I LOVE THEM. Not only are they fuzzy socks, but they're infused with shea to leave your feet feeling soft and luxurious. The best of both worlds...it's the perfect pedicure preserver! They also have non-skid grips on the bottom, so you're not sliding around like Tom Cruise in Risky Business. And, they come in all sorts of cute designs - I like the 'Have a Beary Christmas one!' Usually during the holidays, B&BW will put these babies on sale so you can buy lots of them for all your friends (hopefully that includes me). And don't even think about telling me that I already have enough, Devyn. You can never have too many fuzzy, furry socks.

5. Colourpop Cosmetics, Wisp Highlighter  - $8.00

I am a huge fan of Colourpop cosmetics. They have so many gorgeous and fun shades in so many affordable prices. You can splurge without making a dent in your budget. That being said, the Wisp Highlighter is a gorgeous highlighter that gives you flecks of light gold that reflect beautifully in person and in pictures. Party and Holiday Dresses look great with a light gold champagne highlighter. Plus, it will pair well with all the champagne you'll be drinking during the holiday season. #TisTheSeason
