Top 5 | October Picks

This month it's all about two of my favorite things to showcase: Brows + Lashes!

Who doesn't love a good brow? I mean, there are memes and urban dictionary definitions dedicated to an eyebrow game that's strong AF. ex: On FLEEK? Yeah, that was coined because someone had some gorgeous brows. And eyelashes? Those are always game changers. Every time I forget to put on my mascara, people think that I'm sick. Or that I'm super tired. which actually is the case most of the time. Kinda rude, buuuut my point is that mascara can go a REALLY long way. And that's why, I am so stinking excited to share with you some really great treasures that I've found.

1. IT Cosmetics, Superhero™ Mascara - $24

I am so pumped to share this mascara with anyone who will listen. Y'all, this is hands down an incredible product. One of the best mascaras I've ever come across. It has biotin, collagen, and different proteins that take your lashes to the next level. Not only does it lengthen them, but it thickens them. One coat, and your lashes look naturally full and long. Two coats or more, and you've got that instant vixen vibe. I've even had people ask me if I had eyelash extensions when wearing this mascara. No lie. It may seem a little pricey to you, but the value and quality is definitely worth the money.

2. IT Cosmetics, Brow Power® Universal Eyebrow Pencil - $24

Keeping with the IT Cosmetics line, here's another great product they have. I received this in a goody bag for an event that I attended, and I have to admit that I was pretty skeptical when I first saw it. The color is 'Universal Taupe' and on the box it looks super lighter than the color of my natural brows. So I decided to try it out, to see how 'universal' it really was. Truth be told, I was honestly doing it so I could take some silly selfies and get a laugh. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The color blended well with my brows, and while it wasn't as dark as I usually like to wear them, it also didn't look like I tried (and failed miserably) at bleaching them. My only dislike was the thickness of the pencil. It's a little wider, and I prefer a super skinny stick for more precision.

3. NYX Cosmetics, Micro Brow Pencil in Espresso - $10

This is my go-to. My secret weapon. My holy grail. If I can only use one makeup product for the rest of my life, it would be this. Unfortunately, I was born with Thin Brow Syndrome. FOR THE RECORD, that's not really a thing, I just made it up. I think. I do my brows every. single. day. Doesn't matter if I'm sick, if it's 4AM...I won't leave the house without brows. Anyway, I am obsessed with this product. It's a super skinny pencil, which I like. It gives me enough precision, that I could practically be a surgical intern. (Note: In my personal opinion, this is a GREAT knockoff for the ABH Brow Wiz Pencil). My color is Espresso, a brown-black shade that blends well with my brows. In total, there are 8 shades...so more than enough for you to choose from. And the best part? The price tag. $10? You can't beat that. Win-win, everybody.

4. L'Oreal Cosmetics, Voluminous Volume Building Waterproof Mascara - $9

I think that every woman needs a waterproof mascara in her arsenal. I've never really been fan of waterproof mascara because it's clumpier and hard to remove without ripping out your lashes. However, I really like this particular product. The brush helps keep your lashes separated, and it comes off easily with coconut oil. But, let me let you in on a little secret. I usually only apply 1-2 coats of this AFTER I've used my Superhero mascara. That way, I get the best of both worlds. It's perfect for when the tears hit you out of nowhere. Trust me, it happens.

5. MAC Cosmetics, Duo Lash Comb and Brow Brush - $10

This right here is such a great tool and a great steal! It's like two for the price of one. You get a really awesome lash comb and a brow brush. If you're anything like me, your brows and lashes can sometimes be unruly and disrespectful. A comb and a brush like this will help to get them under control and back to slaying. And you can't beat $10, PLUS y'all know how I feel about MAC products. #obsessed
